Rattlesnakes are native to USA and South America, they tend to live in dry, desert regions but can also live in grassland habitats. They are venomous snakes which use their tail as a warning to stay away, the rattling noise is made by vigorously shaking it, the noise is created by the vibration in the rattle segments which are formed when the snake sheds its skin
