Dima-Hasao district in Assam belongs Himalayan range of mountains. Hasao is the third largest district of Assam. It has an area of about  4888 km2.

It is bigger than  KarbiAnglong and Sonitpur district. The district Dima Hasao is surrounded by Karbi Anglong in the east and Nagaland on Northeast, Manipur on East, Hojai District on North.
