The world bank has aided and improved the northern part of national highway 2, the erection of bypass road on Allahabad and four pathway on Lucknow-Muzaffarpur passage.

This is useful in joining three states such as Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan and two areas of Karnataka and West Bengal.

The world bank also helped the ministry of road transport and highways to maintain the highway cris-cross and upgrade road protection.

This bank also funds for the development of the National highway authority of India.
