My dearest Namrata,
Hello! How are you doing at Mumbai? I am fine here. I could not write to you for a long time because I was taking interest in One-day International Cricket series between India and Australia.
The last match of this series was played at Feroze Shah Kotla Grounds, New Delhi on April _______. I went to see the match along with my friends. The match started at 9:30 AM. The Australian Captain, Michael Clarke, won the toss and elected to bat. Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, appointed Ravindra Jadeja as the first bowler to attack. Australians did not play well during the first ten overs and lost three quick wickets. But later, Mishel Jhonson and Jemes Focner picked up some runs. Australian tailenders added 72 runs and the team was all out for 292 runs. The spectators chered the batsmen whenever they hit fours or sixes.
After that, Indian team started its victory camapaign. Shikher Dhawan and Virat Kohli did face some initial problems but after 10 overs, they started judging the ball well. They scored 178 runs in the record first-wicket partnership. Shikher was caught behind the wicket off a bowl by Shane Watsan. He scored 108 runs. The rest of the players tamed the Australian bowlers. Suresh Raina and Mahendra shingh Dhoni completed another 114 runs and won the match is 45.4 overs. The match was won by India and spectators were thrilled. They shouted and cheered as their joy knew no bounds. Shikher Dhawan was declared “Man of the Match”
Rest some other time.
Yours loving sister,
