India is a country where more than 50% of the population are engaged in Agricultural activities. They are totally dependent on agriculture for their livelihood. But today the development in agricultural sector is found to be very less. There are no proper use of technology in these activities. Many of the farmers are still dependent on traditional use of farming. The farmers also don't get sufficient capital for production. The modern technology such as use of HYV seeds, Pesticides etc are not used regularly. Many farmers doesn't get loans when need. The government also doesn't support these people fully. Due to agricultural loss many Indian farmers committee suicide every year. Thus we can say that "Today, Indian agriculture finds itself at the crossroads."
