Solution

As we know that A week contains 7 days ,

there are seven days total, from Monday through Sunday..

The fifth day of the week will be Thursday

Day after Monday means Tuesday.

Tuesday is three days away (Monday , Sunday, Saturday) So, on Saturday, he will have returned home.

We must now calculate the number of days from Saturday of the first week to Thursday of the second week.

7 days =  Saturday to Saturday

5 days =  Sunday to Thursday

Total days = 7 + 5 = 12days

Hence I have been home for 12 days
