Given :

  • Shape of the cardboard = Equilateral Triangle.
  • Side of the Equilateral Triangle = 3cm.

To Find :

  • Find the area of the star ?

Solution :

  • As we know that,

➣ Area of Equilateral Triangle is given by √3/4 (side)²

According to the question :

  • Finding area of the star :

➣ Area of star = √3/4 (side)²

➣ Area of star = √3/4 (3)²

➣ Area of star = √3/4 × 3 × 3

➣ Area of star = √3/4 × 9

➣ Area of star = 1.73/4 × 9

➣ Area of star = 1.73 × 9/4

➣ Area of star = 15.57/4

➣ Area of star = 3.89cm²

Hence,

  • Area of the star is 3.89cm².
