X, Y and Z purchased mangoes, in a ratio 5:3:2. If the total number of
mangoes of Y and Z is 60. Find out the number of mangoes of X?

  • The total number of mangoes of Y and Z is 60.

To Find :

  • Find the number of mangoes of X ?

Solution :

  • Let us assume :

➣ The number of mangoes of,

➣ X be 5x

➣ Y be 3x

➣ Z be 2x

Finding the value of X :

According to the question :

➣ Y + Z = 60

➣ 3x + 2x = 60

➣ 5x = 60

➣ x = 60/5

➣ x = 12

Finding the number of mangoes of X :

➣ X = 5x

➣ X = 5 × 12

➣ X = 60

Hence,

  • X have 60 mangoes.
