It is an official setup. It clearly spells out what exactly is the role of each job and position in an organisation.

3. Advantages of Formal Organisation

It is easier to fix responsibility.

It helps in avoiding duplication of effort.

4. Disadvantages of Formal Organisation

While following formal chain of communication, actions get delayed in formal structure.

It does not give importance to psychological and social need of employees.
