Today's PCs have many different connections. In order to input information and have corresponding information outputted by the computer, all of the devices need to be connected to the correct ports. • Examine your home (or lab) computer and identify the various ports associated with it. Click a picture of front and back of the CPU. Attached that pictures in document and labeled each port in picture, define each port and any identifiable characteristics related to port.
• Determine your home (or lab) computer’s processor, System type and installed memory. For example, a standard serial port is often blue or black with nine pins (one row of five and a row below with four). That particular port is known as a DB-9 port (or DE-9) port and transmits at five volts.​
