Explanation:

During uniform acceleration (means when velocity is increasing or decreasing) at a uniform rate (means in equal amount )

(for example a uniform acceleration of 5 metre per second square means that velocity is increasing by 5 metre per second in every second) then the average velocity is given by,

(u+v)/2[where u stands for initial velocity and v stands for final velocity]
