Alexandria ,which is now a bustling port city,is once home to a "light house"(also called as Pharos of Alexandria) which is ranked among the seven wonders of ancient world.
It is constructed in between 284 to 246 BC.The light house also has a stiried library which is now reincarnated ultramodern,disc shaped Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
