From the selling price and percentage profit we can get the buying price :
The buying price is 100% whereas the selling price is 125% since the gain is 25%.
Hence Buying price is :
100/125 × 20 = 16
The buying price for each toffee was :
20/15 = Rs 4/3
To get the number of apples sold we get the total buying price divide by the buying price for one toffee.
16 ÷ 4/3
16 × 3/4 = 12
12 toffees
