Solution:-

Let the no. of toys Tom have, be 'x'

Therefore, no. of toys Bob have=(x+5)

Total no. of toys = 49

According to question,

=> x + (x + 5) = 49

=> x + x + 5 = 49

=> 2x + 5 = 49

=> 2x = 49 - 5

=> 2x = 49 - 5=> 2x = 44

=> x = 44/2

=> x = 44/2

=> x = 22

Therefore, No. of toys Tom have is 22 and no. of toys Bob have is (22+5)= 27.
