Let age of Tom's son be x
Age of Tom's is 50 years
According to the question,
(Age of Tom) = 3x+35
3x+35=50
x=15/3

Answer: 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let age of Father be F and of son be S.

F = 3S +35

50 = 3S + 35

By solving

S = (50-35)/3 = 15/3 = 5
