\large\underline{\sf{Solution-}}

Given that,

Tom purchased a cupboard for Rs 24,800 including GST , if cost price of cupboard is Rs 21,600.

Selling Price of a cupboard including GST = Rs 24, 800

Cost Price of cupboard = Rs 21600

Let assume that rate of GST % = x %

We know,

\rm \: \boxed{ \rm{ \:GST \: \% \:  =  \: \dfrac{Selling \: Price - Cost \: Price}{Cost \: Price} \times 100\% \: }} \\

So, on substituting the values, we get

\rm \: GST  \: \%\:  = \dfrac{24800 - 21600}{21600} \times 100 \: \%

\rm \: GST  \: \%\:  = \dfrac{3200}{216} \: \%

\rm \: GST  \: \%\:  = 14.81 \: \%

Hence,

\rm\implies \:GST \: \% \:  =  \: 14.81 \: \% \:  \:  \{approx. \} \\

PROVIDED INFORMATION :-

  • Tom purchased a cupboard for Rs 24,800 including GST , if cost price of cupboard is Rs 21,600

QUESTION :-

  • Tom purchased a cupboard for Rs 24,800 including GST , if cost price of cupboard is Rs 21,600 .Find out how much GST (in%) has been paid

TO FIND :-

  • Find out how much GST (in%) has been paid = ?

SOLUTION :-

Price of insecticides (including GST)

= Rs 24,800

  • Original price = 21,600

Total GST = 24,800 - 21,600 = 3,200

Let GST percentage be 'x'

Now,

x% of 21,600 = 3,200

x /100 × 21,600 = 216 ,00

x = 216

then, we have to divide 3200 with 216 :-

GST= 3200 /216

we get the answer :-

= 14.81 %

GST (in%) has been paid = 14.81 %
