Answer:

1. First of all, light a cigarette. (No need to mention this, I mean, this is like taken for granted at such situations. Non-smokers, have a cup of coffee.)

2. Say this to yourself - "Tomorrow, paper will be very easy. And I am more than capable of scoring at least 40". This is really important, trust me.

3. Call your nerdy friend and ask him about the most easy units of the syllabus. Also ask him which unit takes how much time and what are really important concepts from those units.

4. Now look at your syllabus very carefully. Choose 3/4th of the syllabus(oh yes, not even 1 line more than that) you are going to read tonight considering all factors like difficulty level, size, time required and marks weight age etc.

5. Open your last 5 year's papers.

6. DO NOT read the whole unit. Directly jump to those sections which were asked in previous papers.

7. Read and learn it very carefully. Do the questions which were asked at least more than once before. This definitely works.

8. Google the important concepts. These concepts are nicely explained in short, which is easy to understand. You really don't have time to go line by line in the book tonight.

9. Stay awake till late night (we normally didn't sleep at all)and finish learning units you had decided to study.

10. Revision is very very important in these situations. If you feel you are lagging behind your schedule, leave your unread units aside but first make a quick revision of what you have read already.

11. Read those questions again which were asked previously for many times.

12. If possible, get some sleep.

13. Next day, before going to exam, open that 1/4th of the syllabus which you haven't read at all. From those units, read one such question which has been asked most of the times and it has the most masks allocated. There is always 1 such question. Probability is you might get that question in exam and score considerably good marks for that unit without even reading it at all.

Don't forget to take this chance. This doesn't work all the time, but then again, you are studying one day before exam. Any chance is a semester saving chance.

14. Go to exam with full of confidence. Yes, confidence does magics at times.

15. Try to write answers to all questions as if you know everything. Even if you have a slightest idea about the topic of the question, you must write to it as if it is your PHD thesis. Now these skills, you must have it or develop with times. Even if you score 1 out of this 8 marks question, it will be a golden mark when you are about to reach 40 in addition. So basically, be shameless and don't give up !

16. Master this technique, and then if you have a day off between your next paper, go watch some movie or grab a beer or something. Come before a night of next paper, and repeat from step 1 because if you are someone who studies 1 night before the exam, I am sure you are not going to study for your next paper even if you get 1 week off in between.

Good Luck !!
