Hey friends, let me say some nice words about travel and tours.  All of

us need some travel and tours really in our lives too.

"Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” ― David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas

Travel is the activity of making journey to

another geographical location other than where we live.  Travel is one of

the important activities of our life.   We are compelled to travel

often because of family functions, meeting friends, and attend official

duties.  We travel for pleasure on excursions and for visiting touristic

places.

continuing further on:

“Travel brings power and love back into your life.” ― Rumi

Travel is an important diversion for us from

daily mundane routine.  Travel teaches us many things that we cannot learn

from residing at a place.  Travel enriches our knowledge and increases our

wisdom.    Travel costs some amount.   One needs to take

precautions and needs to make plans for the journey.  However, it is worth

making all the arrangements and traveling.

“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake.

The great affair is to move.” ― Robert Louis Stevenson

What about touring and tourism?

      Tourism is travelling to various

popular touristic and heritage locations in the state, country or world.

Tourism helps us to learn the good history and rich cultural heritage that our

ancestors have given us.  Tourism helps us to learn our own land.

We can really enjoy tourism as various facilities

are provided at each location. The hotels, conveyance, restaurants and public

transport etc.  All one has to do is to book well in advance for all the

facilities.  It costs a lot, but tourism allows one to see what we study

in our lessons.  We learn a lot of practical issues, see different

cultures, interacting with people of multiple back grounds and manners.

Most of the employees are given a chance to take a

tour along with their family by a scheme called Leave travel Allowance.

One can get all the information on the touristic spots through internet,

or by contact government tourism department, or travel agencies.

In India, travel and tourism is not so convenient as that in developed countries.  There are many shortcomings that are to be corrected by the ministry of tourism, so that the tourism industry will grow and make profit.  Many foreigners are not interested in Indian tourism due to risks of infection and dirtiness.

Conclusion :

In India people make a lot of tours to various

pilgrimage centers and big towns and cities.  The tourism to isolated

heritage centers is perhaps not the first choice.  Is it enough that we

boast ourselves of India and its greatness. But we do not visit our own

heritage and remember our ancestors great deeds and constructions.  Let us

make a promise to ourselves that we will do tours and travel that enlightens us

and makes us proud of being Indians.

 ===============================================

1.  what is the difference between travel and tourism

2.  who is responsible for tourism in India, in states?  Mention a few important sites for tourism.

3.  What steps are needed to improve tourism and travel in India.

Note: you may add names of some  touristic spots in the speech above.

Hope it helps :)
