I gave my ASL sometime back, and it wasn't really so difficult. All you would need, would be to have fluent English, some tact, and confidence. And you'll be great.
See,it has some phases- 2 or 3, I think...
One,you will have to talk on an assigned topic for about one minute. You will be asked a question related to the topic and what you have spoken by the examiner which you will be expected to answer and one question you would answer asked by your partner. Then your partner would speak on his/her topic and your examiner and you would put one question each to him/her.
Then, your examiner will give you a topic for conversation and you and your partner would have to converse on it ,it will be more like a problem,to which you will be expected to find a solution through your discussion. Then your examiner will ask if you have arrived at a conclusion and ask one or two related questions like"how" or "why do you think so?" And then you will be let to go.
Hope this helps.
