I think after X there should be +ve sign.....

if so then answer is

....

x + 125 = 126 \\  =  > x = 126 - 125 \\  =  > x = 1

Answer:

\begin{lgathered}x - 5 {}^{x + 1} \times 5 {}^{2 - x} = 126 \\ x - 5 {}^{x} \times 5 {}^{1} \times \frac{5 {}^{2} }{5 {}^{x} } = 126 \\  x - 5 {}^{1} \times 5 {}^{2} = 126 \\ x - 5 {}^{(1 + 2)} = 126 \\ x - 5 {}^{3} = 126 \\ x - 125 = 126 \\ x = 126 + 125 \\ x = 251 \\ \\\end{lgathered}

OR

\begin{lgathered}x + 125 = 126 \\  x = 126 - 125 \\ x = 1\end{lgathered} </p><p>
