1)How to identify?

Basic rule
If the sentence has the word 'by' and after by, the subject comes, then it's passive.

Example :- The work was done by him.

Another thing, in passive voice, the object/predicate comes first and the subject/doer of the action, comes at last.
Example :- The papers were distributed.

Here, the papers are object hence the sentence is passive.

If it doesn't happens, then the sentence is active

We distributed the papers.
"We" is the doer, hence its active voice.

By practicing, you will automatically be able to understand.

2) There are some rules or formulas:-

Simple present

Active :- Sub + verb1st form + object
Passive :- Obj + is/am/are + verb3rd form + subject

Example :- Snakes eats rats
Passive :- Rats are eaten by snakes.

Present continuous

A :- S + is/am/are + Verb ING form + O
P :- O + is/am/are + being + V 3rd + S

(S = subject, V = verb and O = object)

example :- I am singing a song
Passive :- A song is being sung by me

Present Perfect

A :- S + has/have + V 3rd + O
P :- S + has/have + been + V 3rd + O

example :- I have done the work
P :- The work has been done by me

There are no perfect continuous forms of Passive voice. Similarly, Future continuous passive voice doesn't exist.

Simple Past

A :- S + V 2nd + O
P :- O + Was/were + V 3rd + S

Past continuous

A :- S + was/were + V ing form + O
P :- O + was/were + being + V 3rd + S

Past Perfect

A :- S + had + V 3rd + O
P :- O + had + been + V 3rd + S

example :- He had requested for the book
The book had been requested by him

Future Indefinite (Simple Future)

A :- S + will/shall + V + O
P :- O + will/shall + be + V 3rd + O

example :- He will read the novel
P : The novel will be read by him.

Future continuous No passive

Future perfect

A : S + will/shall + have + V 3rd + O
P :- O + will/shall + have been + Verb 3rd + O

example :- He will have done the work
P : The work will have been done by him

So I listed the rules and examples where I found the necessity.

Hope it helps dear friend

Tomboyish44: It really did!
Tomboyish44: Thnx alot!
Mankuthemonkey01: Glad to hear :)
Tomboyish44: So to arrange, A to P formula is SVO and from P to A it's OVS right ?
Mankuthemonkey01: Yup and the verb in P is always 3rd form (past participle)
Tomboyish44: Thnx for your generous help!
Mankuthemonkey01: :) Yup Yup welcome ❤️
