Morning assembly makes the students feel fresh, energetic with positive vibrations. It boosts the hidden talents of the children.
TOPIC &THE PRODUCER.
Theme of the assembly was ‘Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed’. It began with the felicitation of one of the proud parentsMrs. Pooja Kumra who is working with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited in joint venture with Delhi Government as a soft skill faculty in customer Management group. She had an interactive session with the children, sharing her knowledge with them about energy and its conservation.
Word of the day was presented by Vihan Dhand and enacted by Aditwas followed by an enriching thought shared by Noyal S. Paul. Yash, Geet, Unnati , Ruhani, Vashnavi and Aashiya presented a small skit based on the theme “Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed” through the working models and activities enlightening the spectators about the law of the transformation of the energy. Audience was made aware of the ‘Figures of Speech’ through an interactive ‘Subject Enrichment Activity’ by Raghav and Riddhiman. A short quiz was conducted on the same. Children enacted on the sentences using different poetic devices and the audiences guessed the name of those figures of speech. It was quite interesting. The News of the week was presented by Sargun.
Ms. Suma Jacob, the Proctor (Classes 1-4) enriched the audience’s awareness by speaking on the topic ‘Child Labour’. She also made the students aware about the endeavour of Doon Public School’s “Hope for the Future Programme”for the development of the under- privileged students. Veer Chawla of Class 4 received the stupendous award and brought glory to school by bagging 23 medals in various Swimming competitions at zonal level & state level. He also received the cash prize of Rs. One lakh forty-two thousand rupees and scholarship for the session 2019-20 by the Delhi Government for emerging as the winner being prepared for the National Level Swimming competitions. He was congratulated by the Vice Principal, Ms. Malini Panikkar and the Headmistress, Ms. Vidhu Vijayan Biju. Vice Principal ma’am encouraged the students of 6A by appreciating their performance and congratulated them and the teacher incharge for conducting a successful assembly. Assembly was concluded with the vote of thanks by the comperer Prachi and Adhina, followed by National Anthem
