Total cost of a table and a chair is ₹600 .if the cost of the table twice the cost of chair , find the cost of each of them

Let the cost of table and chair be x and y respectively.

x+y=600

x=600-y_______eq 1

x=2y

From equation 1,

600-y=2y

600=3y

y=200 and x=400

Therefore, cost of chair is Rs 200 and cost of table is Rs 400.
