Hi...

There are two types of girdles in the human body - the pectoral and the pelvic girdle .

The pectoral girdle is formed by the scapula and clavicle ( collar bone ) and caracoid thus 3 in no. . Located in the upper axis of the body and is a part of the shoulder joint .

The pelvic girdle is formed by the fusion of three bones - ilium , ischium and pubis and is single , located in the pelvis region . It helps in the articulation of femur (thigh bone) with the axial skeleton ..

Thus total no of girdle bones in human is 6..

Hope this helps u!!
