24 gm of Magnesium contains=NA​ atoms. Where NA​= 6.023 × 1023

48 gm of Mg contains =2NA​ atoms.

1 atom of Mg contains 12 electrons

Mg2+ ion will contain (12–2)=10 electrons

2NA​ Mg2+ ions will contain

=10×2NA​ electrons

=10×2×6.023×1023

=20NA​
