g= 4 legs per 1 goat
 h= 2 legs per 1 hen.
Total legs given as 40.
so. 4g + 2h= 40
2(2g +h)=40
2g + h= 20

⇝Given :

Total no. of leg in a herd of goats and hens is 40. Express this information in form of linear equation.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

⇝Solution :

{\orange{\mathbb{\maltese{\underline{\bf{Let}}}}}}

{\mapsto{\text{No. of legs = goats = x}}}

{\mapsto{\text{No. of \: legs =  hens = y}}}

{\orange{\mathbb{\maltese{\underline{\bf{Linear  \: Equation :-}}}}}}

{\leadsto{\sf{\purple{4x + 2y = 40}}}}

❒Some equations that we can make :

4x + 2y = 40

{\mapsto{\bf{Let \:  X = 4}}}

{\leadsto{\sf{4 \times  4 + 2y = 40}}}

{\leadsto{\sf{16 + 2y = 40}}}

{\leadsto{\sf{ 2y = 40 - 16}}}

{\leadsto{\sf{ y =  {\cancel\frac{24}{2} }}}}

{\red{\pmb{\bf{\underline{Y = 12}}}}}

So,

{\large{\purple{:{\longmapsto{\underline{\boxed{\mathfrak{(X = 4 , Y = 12)}}}}}}}}
