Given:

Photolytic decomposition of 2 moles of silver bromide.

To find:

Total number of moles of bromines gas.

Solution:

As photolytic decomposition means decompose of a compound in presence of sunlight.

here, silver bromide decomposes to silver metal and bromine gas.

Balanced chemical reaction is as follows-

       2 AgBr  → 2Ag  +  Br₂(g)

According to above equation 2 moles of  silver bromide (AgBr) releases 1 mole of bromine gas (Br₂).

So, on photolytic decomposition of  2 moles of silver bromide (AgBr) releases total of 1 mole of bromine gas.
