'An Unknown Friend' is a story by the renowned writer Stephen Leacock.

In the text, the person, a man, was sitting in the smoking compartment in a train alone, who was then joined by another man, a stranger to the narrator, who identified the narrator but the narrator was not able to remember this stranger.

The stranger seemed to know a lot about the narrator, but the narrator could not remember who he was.
