TSA of cone = 22/7*7 (7+l)
              704 = 22(7+l)
               32  = 7 + l
                l    = 32 - 7
                l    =  25 cm

CSA of cone = 22/7*7*25
                     = 22*25
                     = 550 cm^2

To find out:

Find the curved surface area of the cone.

Formula used:

  • Total surface area of cone = πr ( r + l)

  • Curved surface area of cone = πrl

Solution :

Total surface area of cone = πr(r+l)

➭ 704 = 22/7×7 (7+l)   

➭ 704 = 22(7+l)

➭ 704/22  = 7 + l

➭   l = 32 - 7

➭   l =  25 cm

Now,

Curved surface area of cone = πrl

= 22/7×7×25

   = 22×25

                     = 550cm²
