Answer :

›»› The breadth of a cuboid is 1 m, and the volume of a cuboid is 6 m³.

Provided :

  • Total surface area of a cuboid = 22 m².
  • Length of a cuboid (l) = 2 m.
  • Height of a cuboid (h) = 3.

Find out :

  • Breadth of a cuboid (b) = ?
  • Volume of a cuboid = ?

Solution :

Let us assume that, the breadth of a cuboid is b m.

As we know that

→ Total surface area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

→ 22 = 2{(2 * b) + (b * 3) + (3 * 2)}

→ 22 = 2(2b + 3b + 6)

→ 22 = 2 * 2b + 2 * 3b + 2 * 6

→ 22 = 4b + 6b + 12

→ 22 = 10b + 12

→ 22 - 12 = 10b

→ 10 = 10b

→ b = 10/10

b = 1

The breadth of a cuboid is 1 m.

Now,

As we know that

→ Volume of a cuboid = l * b * h

→ Volume of a cuboid = 2 * 1 * 3

→ Volume of a cuboid = 2 * 3

Volume of a cuboid = 6

The volume of a cuboid is 6 m³.

Hence, the breadth of a cuboid is 1 m, and the volume of a cuboid is 6 m³.
