Answer:

area of roads -- 9900 sq.metres ==0.99 hectares

area of park excluding roads -- 200100 sq.metres == 20.01 hectares

Step-by-step explanation:

area of longer road = 700{length}×10{width of road} = 7000 sq.m

area of shorter road = 300{length}×10{width of road} = 3000 sq.m

common area of roads = 10*10 = 100 sq.m

therefore, area of roads = 7000+3000-100{As we have counted this are       twice for two roads}        =10000-100=9900 sq.m

for the area other than roads, area = 700×300{length×breadth of park}

- 9900{area of roads}

=200100 sq.m

Now, 10000 sq.m=1 hectare ⇒9900 sq.m=9900÷10000=0.99 hectares

similarly area of park = 20.01 hectares..............

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:area of roads -- 9900 sq.metres ==0.99 hectares

area of park excluding roads -- 200100 sq.metres == 20.01 hectares

Step-by-step explanation:

area of longer road = 700{length}×10{width of road} = 7000 sq.m

area of shorter road = 300{length}×10{width of road} = 3000 sq.m

common area of roads = 10*10 = 100 sq.m

therefore, area of roads = 7000+3000-100{As we have counted this are       twice for two roads}        =10000-100=9900 sq.m

for the area other than roads, area = 700×300{length×breadth of park}

- 9900{area of roads}

=200100 sq.m

Now, 10000 sq.m=1 hectare ⇒9900 sq.m=9900÷10000=0.99 hectares

So, area of park = 20.01 hectares.
