Jallianwala bagh is a place in Amritsar ,Punjab.here on 13 April 1919, numerous Indians were killed as martial law was imposed.the leader General dyre opened fire at a large unarmed crowd that had gathered to discuss policies of british.many were from rural area who were not even aware of martial law.
Thus due to this incident it became a place of historical importance

Jallianwala Bagh is at Amritsar where massacre held on 13th April 1919.It is also known as Amritsar Massacre.General Dyer open fired to all innocent peoples...included kids, senior citizens.That day was of Baishaki festival where all people gathered to celebrate it.On hearing that meeting assembled their Dyer went at jallianwala Bagh n opened fire on innocent peoples.Directly their bullets largely towards the few open gates through which peoples were trying to flee.Some historians considered he episode a decisive step towards the end of British rule in India.
