I=V/P=220/50=4.4. _______{1}

I=V/P=220/60=3.667_______{2}

final current =eqn 1 +eqn 2= 4.4 + 3.667=8.067 A

The current is the main conductor will be the sum of the current drawn by each bulb individually.  So to calculate the current in amps for each bulb divide the watts by the volts must be use.

50W + 60W = 110W that's the total power consumed.

Hence they are connected in parallel across 220vac, the current flowing on the source conductor is:

I = Power/Voltage

 = 110W/220V

= 8.067 A
