The equation of the curve y² = x³  

To find:

Trace the curve

Solution:

The curve y² = x³  

To trace this curve, plot points on it by choosing different values of x and computing the corresponding values of y.

Here are some points that lie on the curve:

At x = 0, => y = 0,

So the point (0, 0) is on the curve.

At x = 1, => y² = 1³ => y = 1

So point (1, 1) is on the curve.

At x = 4, => y² = 4³ => y = √64 = 8

So points (4, 8) will be on the curve

At x = - 4 => y² = (-4)³ => y = - 8

So the point (-4, -8) will be on the curve

To get a better understanding we can calculate more points by taking different x avalues  

Now plot the coordinate points (0, 0) (1, 1) (4, 8) and (-4, -8) to trace the curve
