Explanation:

As air enters the nostrils, the air is humidified by the tiny hairs inside it called the cilia. It protects the nasal pathways by filtering dust and other unwanted particles. Then come the area where the nasal cavity and the mouth meet from where air goes to pharynx (throat). It is not a part of repiratory system but it carries both food and air. This pipe is divided into two where one pipe is for food that is esophagus and another is for air. At the top of the air pipe, there is a voice box called larynx. The wind pipe is called trachea which again divides into two air tubes called bronchi which is connected to the lungs. Here the exchange of oxygen and carbondioxide takes place.
