It is given that the object is placed at a distance which is less than the focal length of mirror. Now we know the focal length of mirror is the distance between the focus and pole of a mirror.

Thus the object is placed between the focus and pole of mirror.

In this case the image will form beyond the mirror. And the image will be Virtual , erect and magnified , Ray diagram for this case is given in the attachment.
