Newer methods of growing crops and domesticating animals gained momentum during the medieval ages. In India such animals and crops were worshipped and seen as life sustaining. As demand for produce grew, people looked at ways and means of increasing yield from crops anddomesticated animals. As a result, better irrigation methods, usage of manure in fields, seasonal farming, storage of grains for later use and trade came about. Usage of iron implements in farming were also recorded during this period.
