It was the Fascist Party who strated it.

It ended in 1945 when Mussolini was executed.

His career ended in disgrace.

CAUSES : -
Discontented after Treaty of Versailles

• The Treaty of Versailles humiliated the Italians.

• The territories were taken and they were forced to pay huge war repairs.

• They had to lose colonies and lands.

ECONOMIC CRISIS : -

• There was loss of economy

• The farmers were in debt.

• These were the economic crisis of the First World War.


POLITICAL INSTABILITY :-


• There was no strong government and it was easy for Nazis to take over the unstable government.


MUSSOLINI'S PERSONALITY :-


• Mussolini was an able leader.

• He persuaded Italy by reviving
their glory.

ABSENCE OF OPPOSITION :-

• There was no strong opposition against the Fascist.
