The eye is one of the most sensitive sense organs. An image is formed on the eye (on the light sensitive screen called retina) when light enters it. The entering of bright light till the formation of image is achieved by small events like -

A receptor cell receives the message and passes on to sensory neuron, When a bright light is focussed on eye, then it moves to brain, and brain reverts back the message by motor neuron which contracts the pupil.

Receptor —> Sensory neuron —> Brain —> Motor neuron —> Eye —> Eye muscle contracts.
