Answer:

. Everyone wants to get away from the shackles of a frenetic and monotonous daily schedule, but every individual’s definition of a ‘break’ is not the same. For some, leisure time means resting in their homes and for others it means making time for some thrill packed action. The excitement and joy that an adventure fanatic experiences, especially during multi day trekking cannot be expressed in words. When I was in school in 11th Std., me and my friend went for a trek in the nearby Kalakad Thalayanai hill, which was near to my college. We started at 7 am in the morning with all the necessary things, such as rope, shoes, drinking water, spare dresses etc. Slowly we started climbing up the hill and found many trees and rocks which disturbed our trekking. After a long walk for almost two hours, we halted at a place rested for some time then we all had breakfast as everyone was extremely hungry, then after some time we continued our trek again. We kept walking for another four hours and then since all were hungry halted at a comfortable place for lunch. After finishing our lunch we made a campfire and sat around it and had lot of fun. And by 4 O’clock we again started walking but by 6.30 pm it started becoming dark suddenly I realised that I was separated from the group. I was really afraid and didn’t understand what to do. I consoled myself and then realised I had to anyways spend the night alone as I didn’t knew where the group was. I burnt a mosquito coil and tried sleeping but could not as I could hear strange noises but I tried to be calm. By god's grace nothing troubled me and I felt sleepy around 10 pm midnight so slept. I suddenly woke-up around 5 am when the sun was red and the day was dawning. I packed up my belongings and went to a place from where I could see everything. Just looking around I saw my friends at a very far away distance. So I started moving that way but finally reached them within one hour without taking any halt. I was very happy to finally be with them again but the night which I spent alone in such a place was like a nightmare which I would never like to remember it. It also proved and gave me confidence that I can survive in the worst situation as well that gives me happiness. Hence, it is a combination of happiness and fear.

trekking:

Last week I went to the trekking expedition to Manali with a group of friends. The day was cold but it was sunny, the night temperature was predicted to go as low as – 2°C. Our instructor in the trekking team was adamant that we finish the trail by 4pm and then we will return to our housing area because he did not wanted us to be in such cold weather. That's why we were going without any rest. All of us was tired and wanted some rest, I told one of my friends that I will be resting for some time and then I will catch them up later. But as tired I was, I soon fell asleep and when I woke up I could not found my group. It was close to 4pm and they would have reached the destination. So, I was forced to attend that night alone and to hope that they would find me in the morning. It was deadly cold there but I managed to light some fire to keep myself warm. I was so scared but by the morning approached I heard my group calling out my name and that’s how I was saved.
