1-traditional method which use cattle or human labour so cheaper but inefficient whereas modern method use water efficiently
2-trditional one use old age technique as chain pump, dhekli, rahat, and moat sysytem whereas modern technique includes sprinkler and drip irrigation system.
3-traditional method require labour ,time consuming whereas modern method doesnot require labour so time and cost saving
4-trditional method is inefficient as corrct amount of water is not given whereas modern method is efficient where correct amount of water is given

Irrigation is the most important factor in farming according to the
Agriculture Department and Irrigation Officers. Irrigation has played
an important role in transforming the crop cultivation and better
yield.india moved toward modern technique due lack of water, variation in rainfall pattern ,incresing demand of crop and due to modern method efficiency .
