Traffic congestions or traffic jams on our roads, especially on the highways and expressways,

are a common sight. As Deepika/Deepak, 150, Bhanu Vihar, New Delhi, write a letter in 100-

120 words to the editor of The Times of India expressing your concern related to this problem.

Also suggest some measures to overcome or at least reduce traffic congestion and accidents on

Subject: Traffic jams or congestion on roads especially highways and expressways.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to help bring you to notice of the traffic jams and traffic congestions in Delhi concerning the roads especially the highways as well as the expressways.

It is a huge concern to everyone as it is time-consuming if one wants to go to another city or state like Rajasthan or Uttarakhand which takes around four hours or even less as it is a travel of around 250 km. But the same time has been increased to more than six hours due to traffic and even toll taxes waiting period takes away lots of time. Mostly during night times due to traffic possibility of accidents also takes place due to rash driving. For overcoming congestion concerning expressways and highways one can construct bypass roads, flyovers and various sorts of overbridges. Alternate routes can be made, encouragement of public transport and allowance of two-wheeler vehicles to be permitted. The GPS is also recommended to keep an eye on live traffic and peak hours.

If you could publicize this in your newspaper, we would appreciate it so further steps can be taken. Additionally, several issues related to traffic will be discussed, particularly those related to expressways and highways.

Thanking You

Yours Sincerely

Deepika
