Subject: The Problem of Traffic Jams

Sir:

I wish to bring to your highness’s notice the problem of traffic jams in the city. The problem is so serious that every day almost all the roads become impassable owing to the long traffic jams. Owing to the lack of strict action, the problem persists.

There are many causes of these jams such as narrow roads, excess amount of vehicles, street vendors, absence of traffic police at all the crucial traffic monitoring points, etc.  These jams are causing a huge loss to the national resources. Not only time is wasted, fuel worth millions of rupees also gets wasted.

I think making some of the roads one way along with the deployment of traffic cops will ease up the situation a little bit until proper infrastructure such as City Metro Service is constructed. A heavy fine should be levied against the defaulters. I on behalf of the citizens of Ludhiana appeal to you to look into the matter and relieve the citizens of the menace of jams caused by the above mentioned causes.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Gitansh Sinah

(Subject- Chaotic Traffic Jams) Not compulsory to write subject.....

Sir,

I am glad to bring to your notice the chaotic (irregular) condition of city on account of severe traffic jams become too frequent these days. We know that the number of vehicles on the road is on rise and there is no increase in the number of roads. So traffic jams are bound to happen.

The buses and autos show an appaling discard for any kind of traffic law. Buses stopping here and there, autos coming and going through, drivers getting into an early argument etc cause Havoc for daily commuters.

Frequent processions, demonstrations by employing workers and Nagar Kirtans add to the already chaotic conditions. Then there are vendors all along the road. The marriage seasons make the situation worst.

The solution lies in being responsible. Traffic rules must be dealt with more strictness. More of public transport should be used. Carpooling should be encouraged. Teenagers should not be issued driving licence. The authorities should be strict in removing vendors.

I do hope, you will be kind enough to take necessary steps to stop the traffic jams in the City.

Thanking you ( Optional)

Yours faithfully,

Devanshi Mishra (your name in the place)
