Let us make the solution to the question simpler

We assume Train A is moving at 100 km/min

Now,

Train B is 25 % faster so it is moving at

125 km/min

Now,

They have to travel the same distance of 50 km

So,

D1 =D2

V1 × t1 = V2× t2

100 × 35 = 125 × t2

t2=35 / 1.25

t2 = 28 min

So, Train B will cover same distance in 28 min

Solution :-

We assume the train A speed = 100 km/min

Then,

Train B is 25% faster so, Train B speed = 125 km/min

Ratio of speed of train A and B = 100:125

=> 4:5

Time taken by train A =35 min and cover distance 50 km. (Given)

Time taken by train B = 4/5 × 35

Train B will be covered the same distance in
= 28 min Ans.
