To find :-

A) at what time did the train start from chandigarh ?

B) at what time, it reached karnal ?

C) at what time, it reached new delhi ?

Solution :-

From given data , we have,

→ Train halted at karnal for = 35 minutes.

and,

→ Train left karnal at = 11 : 40 minutes .

So,

→ Train reached at karnal = 11:40 - 35 minutes = 11:05 AM (Ans. B)

Now,

→ Train reached at karnal = 11:05

→ Train travel for = 1 hour and 45 minutes .

then,

→ Train Started from chandigarh at = 11:05 - 1 : 45 = 10:65 - 1:45 = 9:20 AM (Ans. A)

Now,

→ Train Left karnal ar = 11 : 40 AM

→ Time taken by train to reach New delhi = 2 hours and 15 minutes .

So,

→ Train reached delhi at = 11:40 + 2:15 = 13 : 55 = 1 : 55 PM (Ans. C) .
