Given,

u = 0 \:{ms}^{ - 1}

v = 40 {kmh}^{ - 1}

for coverting it to

 {ms}^{ - 1}

multiply by

 \frac{5}{18}

v = 40  \times \frac{5}{18}  =   \frac{100}{9}  = 33.33 {ms}^{ - 1}

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

putting the values,we get

a = \frac{33.33 - 0}{10 \times 60}

multiplied 10 minutes by 60 to convert time in seconds

a = 0.055 {ms}^{ - 2}
