We know, distance= speed × time.

So, for first 0.52h, distance,

d1=60x0.52=31.2km

For next 0.24h, distance,

d2=60x0.24=7.2km

For last 0.71 h, distances,

d3=60x0.71=49.7km

Average speed = total distance covered/total time taken

Avg speed =

31.2 + 7.2 + 49.7 \div 0.52 + 0.25 + 0.71 = 59.53

= 59.53km/h
