GiveN :-

  • Two molecules of hydrogen gas react with one molecule of oxygen gas to produce two molecules of water vapour .

To FinD :-

  • To transform it into a chemical equation.

SolutioN :-

Given that molecules two moles of hydrogen gas react with one molecule of oxygen gas to produce two molecules of water vapour .

So we know that the symbol of Hydrogen is H . And that of Oxygen is O .

The word equation will be :-

\boxed{\pink{\sf Hydrogen + Oxygen \to Water }}

The Chemical equation will be :-

\boxed{\pink{\sf H_2 + O_2 \to H_2O }}

But here we see that the equation seems to be unbalanced that is here the number of oxygen atoms on the LHS is 2 , but there is only 1 oxygen atom in the LHS . So for balancing ,

Step 1: Multiplying 2 to Oxygen on RHS:

\sf:\implies \gray{ H_2 + O_2 \to \pink{2} H_2O }

Step 2: Multiplying 2 to Hydrogen on LHS:

\sf:\implies \gray{ \pink{2}H_2 + O_2 \to \pink{2} H_2O }

Now here , we can see that there are equal number of Atoms on both LHS and RHS . So our equation is balanced .

Hence we balanced out the equation !
