Answer:

The revolution in education keeping in focus the 4.0 (industry), offers new education system and transforms innovative learning and thereby causes improvement in teaching. Students will learn new digital skills which will enhance their career and growth. The human and technological blend is achieved.

Step-by-step explanation:

TRANSFORMATION OF INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM TOWARDS INDUSTRY 4.0

“EDUCATION IS NOT ONLY LEARNING AND DOING, BUT ALSO BEING.” SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

Education in India has always had its own share of debates every year. But the question lies in what needs to be changed in the system and what things can be improved for the future generation. Our system has always been into the state of theoretical pattern of learning and imposing the pre-planned system of learning rather than giving an opportunity to students to think independently.

Indian educational institutions must include the latest technological know-how as this is imperative for the youth where entrepreneurship is taking major lead in various sectors. Digitization and virtual learning is gaining impetus.

To bring about changes in the education system, the following can be considered: –

These are the days for mass production for mass benefit. Computerization of manufacturing should be inculcated at an early stage in our teaching. Inter-connectivity is the crucial element in today’s world, be it commerce, industry or any other field. Students should be taught to connect and communicate through the internet of things.

Better Training and Up Skilling of Teachers:

Teachers need to understand this new wave in global technology and learn more about the values associated with using the emerging technologies.

Help students to think in terms of both reflective and interdisciplinary methods. The teachers should be taught to reinvent and provide opportunities by creating contexts for job preparedness.

The need is for skilled teachers to meet international standards as students need to understand how to correlate, use and apply what is taught to be able to create synergies among different subjects. They need to work from the framework of projects. These modern techniques also known as ICT based learning, which enable the teacher to be more effective in imparting knowledge.

Teachers should undergo training to impart readiness for a smart industry. Considering the requirements of the changing times, teachers should consider the challenges from this point of view.

2.Set uniform syllabus throughout the country to suit industry 4.0

Teachers need to adapt quickly and gear up to the new approach. The rapid change of knowledge has crated creates new demands in educational models. Education now has to respond to industry to prepare for a global and digital work environment.

To change learning habits, we need to have new smart learning skills. This will enable us to educate students to create change.

Introduce the syllabus which provides student centric learning facility with ICT which prepare our students to meet the demands of the present technology.

3.Practical, Problem, Project-based learning

Education should be realistic and accommodate for practical learning. This kind of project-based learning helps students to secure a sustainable future. Student learning outcomes can improve as education uses intelligent management systems, learning management software, communication tools along with teaching and learning tools.

4.More weightage for assignments than external examinations

Students should become the main stakeholders of the educational ecosystem and its main beneficiaries.

Each student must be given unique assignments rather than common assignment for the entire class. Education should be based on the optimum usage of technological tools and resources.

This means giving more weightage to Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE 60%) and less weightage to external examination (SEE 40%)

Students should be evaluated based on classroom participation, communication skills, quizzes, curricular and co-curricular activities only then students perform better.

Make extra-curricular and co-curricular activities mandatory

Digitalization and virtualization in education are motivating and inspiring. Pioneers of higher education must ensure that their foundations are computerized, open the doors for effective teaching-learning and have a high level of commitment and agility.
