The following is a translated story from Kannada regional language to English.
Madiddunno Maharaya (Maharaja did it) by P. Na. Halli Harish Kumar
A cat roaming upstairs saw a stork sitting there and wanted to make friends with it. Approaching the stork it felt its desire. Even the stork agreed wholeheartedly. Every day in the evening, they both gathered at home and started discussing the two crafts. The friendship deepened.
Here is a golden opportunity to beautify the kitchen! Here are the best options at low prices!
Since the stork roamed in tens of places, its knowledge and understanding were a little higher. But a cat that has been in the same house since birth has a little less understanding than a stork. The cat was a little upset about that. It was lying in wait for time to somehow pull the stork's leg. Once the cat heard that the owner of the cat was going to some town with all his family members and asked the stork to come to his house for breakfast that evening. Pleased by the cat's appeal, the stork arrived at the cat's house with its family. After talking to the stork family for a while, the cat pretended to eat fish soup in a plate. While the storks were struggling to eat the soup in the plate in their long beaks, only the cat was happy to see it all and licked the soup.
Unable to bear the insult, the stork decided to teach the cat a lesson and invited the cat to his house for a feast the very next day. The cat also agreed and arrived at the stork's house the very next day while he was inquiring about the amphitheater with the family, the stork put blood in a big pitcher and brought it in front of the cat and asked him to eat it. All the storks were happy to drink the blood from the pitcher with their long beaks, but only the cat couldn't drink the blood from its pitcher and walked away hungry.
Moral: If we insult others, it will backfire on us.
